Region 4's Alternative Certification Program
Education Service Center Region 4 has rolled out a new netStartEnterprise website dedicated entirely to its Alternative Certification Program.  At this site visitors can find a vast array of information on certifications, trainings, testing and workshops for teachers and all levels of district administrators.  The website also has extensive information for foreign teachers seeking certification to teach in Texas.

Schulenburg ISD
Schulenburg ISD was searching for a better solution for keeping crucial information up to date.  Since going online with a new netStartEnterprise website, the library, Health Services and Food Services are able to keep their content dynamic and up to date.  The ezCalendar is also used extensively and the district finds it much easier than before to keep important Internet  postings relevant and up to date.

Region 14
Education Service Center Region 14 went online with the very first netStartEnterprise website in February 2002.  Over the summer of 2010 the site underwent a much needed overhaul, with a completely new design and an upgrade to the very latest 4.0 version of the netStartEnterprise software.  It is now much easier for the Region to manage its departmental users with the latest Account Manager, and it also makes extensive use of our database module – see their Staff Directory and School District Locater.

Coolidge ISD
The most important thing Coolidge ISD was looking for was a quick and efficient way to post the documents and information required by the Texas Education Agency and other legal entities.  Their new netStartEnterprise district website allows the district to easily keep their federal, state and local required postings up to date.  The district also likes to post their weekly breakfast and lunch menus on the Internet as well as their athletic schedules.  Another important feature that the district makes extensive use of is the netStartEnterprise dynamic calendar.

Region 4 Redesign
The Region 4 Education Service Center has been a long time customer of netStart Web Services, using our netStartEnterprise™ Content Management System to power their public, and heavily trafficked website. In October 2006, the site was re-launched with a completely new look. The goal with the new design was to make the site more warm and friendly and also more marketing oriented to better appeal to its customer base. Because the data of the existing website was data-based, the transition was smooth and easy. Region 4 has received many compliments on its new look and everyone agrees that the re-launch was very successful.

Center for Safe and Secure Schools
It is unfortunate that school safety is so much in the news these days, but that is the reality with which we have to deal. Accordingly, the Harris County Department of Education began a new program called the Center for Safe and Secure Schools (CSSS). The Center coordinates various initiatives with client school districts, law enforcement agencies and other governmental entities to promote best practices and to provide training in the field of school safety. The Center’s website, powered by netStartEnterprise,™ is an integral part of this initiative due to the need to keep its constituents up to date with the latest information and downloadable documents.

School Executive Solutions
In 2006 the Region Education Service Center launched a new initiative called School Executive Solutions (SES), a Superintendent and School Executive search program. This program now serves the area of Region 4 but is ready to help school boards across the country to find school executives for their districts. An important part of this initiative was to have an attractive and professional website that was also easy for SES personnel to update regularly with attachments and other necessary information. netStart Web Services was selected to provide the right solution. On September 6, 2006 we launched the School Executive Solutions website, powered by the company’s proprietary Content Management System, netStartEnterprise.™

Klein ISD High Schools
A new phase of Klein ISD’s netStart initiative has been to migrate its four high school websites into the netStartEnterprise™ Content Management System, a process that unfolded over the fall of 2005. The first school, Klein Oak High School unveiled its new look on September 6. The second, Klein Forest High School, launched on October 5. The third, Klein Collins High School was deployed on November 4, 2005. The fourth school, Klein High School went live in late November, 2005.

North Forest ISD
Recognizing the importance of effective Internet communication between the district and its community, the Communications and Community Relations department of North Forest ISD rolled out their new web portal on August 9, 2005. Using netStartEnterprise™ software, the department can easily keep its new website up to date. The new district site comprised phase one of a two phase project. On August 31 the district unveiled new netStartClass™ campus websites for its fourteen campuses, bringing its ability to communicate important information online even closer to its neighborhoods and community.

Klein ISD Intranet
Klein ISD uses its Intranet to post extensive curriculum materials and TEKS-related documentation. The Intranet grew so large over time that its navigation and general usability began to suffer. The solution for the district was to migrate the content of the Intranet site into a new netStartEnterprise™ format, complete with custom design and application integration. The district deployed the new Intranet on July 10, 2005 to an enthusiastic reception within the district. (This site is not available for viewing outside of Klein ISD’s Local Area Network.)

Education Service Center Region 4
ESC Region 4 maintains one of the largest ESC websites in Texas, from which it operates a number of important databased applications, such as an employment application and a workshop catalog application. The problem was in basic content management, because many departments did not have personnel with the requisite skills for posting new content to the web server via FTP. The netStartEnterprise™ Content Management System was the solution to this problem, enabling people with only basic computer skills from every department to begin managing their own content without need of a webmaster. The newly designed Region 4 website went live on October 18 2004.

Klein ISD
In August 2003 Klein ISD contracted for user licenses allowing 1,000 district educators to begin developing their netStartClass™ classroom websites. Enthusiasm for the project by the teachers involved led the district to acquire another 1,400 licenses, that is, enough for every teacher in the district to have his or her own classroom portal. In September 2004 the district began migrating some of its campus websites into the netStartClass™ software, a process to be completed by the summer of 2005. The district also recently opted to employ the netStartEnterprise™ Content Management System for its public district website and for the district intranet, and both projects will be completed very soon.

Education Service Center Region 8
The administration at ESC Region 8, located in Mount Pleasant, Texas, wanted to redesign its website to reflect a more up to date and sophisticated web presence. It was also interested in a Content Management System (CMS) that would allow content management to be distributed among departmental personnel instead of having all changes and updates going through a single webmaster, as had previously been the case. After soliciting public bids for the makeover, Region 8 selected netStart Web Services for Education to redesign the site and migrate the existing content into its netStartEnterprise™ CMS. Region 8’s new website was unveiled in August 2004.
